Up to now, we had to say: You didn’t have to worry about ticks in winter. Because the crawfish were only on the move when it got warmer.
But that is changing more and more now. The alluvial forest tick is becoming more and more common in Germany. It is also called the winter tick and is already active at temperatures of four degrees Celsius.

A veterinarian advises the owners: “From now on you should protect your animal against ticks all year round.”
