Tickets sold for the Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto, which takes place this spring, exceed 3,500

ZARAGOZA, 5 (PRESS EUROPE)

The celebration of the Copa de la Reina de Baloncesto 2023 in Zaragoza continues to arouse great interest among fans and as of this January 5, more than 3,500 tickets have already been sold for this competition, which will be held in the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion from March 30 to 2 April. The prices of the subscriptions are 25, 35 or 45 euros, depending on the location.

The Cup will take place next Thursday, January 12, at the Zaragoza Town Hall. The teams will be divided into two drums: the first will include the four seeds: Valencia Basket, Spar Girona, Casademont Zaragoza and Perfumeras Avenida. Their rivals will come off a second drum which will include Lointek Gernika, Kutxabank Araski, Bara CBS and Movistar Estudiantes.

The municipal councilor for sport of Zaragoza, Cristina García, explained at the presentation of this event that it represents an important step in the city’s commitment to promote women’s sport. “The level of season ticket sales is very positive and we expect a great response in the Príncipe Felipe stands.”

The agreement to organize the Copa de la Reina is part of the commitment of the Municipality of Zaragoza to attract sporting and cultural events of national and international projection.

Zaragoza thus replaces Valencia, which hosted the last two editions, with SPAR Girona (2021) and Perfumeras Avenida (2022) as champions. It will be the fourth time that the Copa de la Reina will travel to Zaragoza. The first in the 2002-2003 academic year, coinciding with the victory of Ros Casares. In 2009-2010 the Valencian team repeated the title in the Aragonese capital and in the last 2017-2018 edition, Perfumeras Avenida won the title.

In parallel to this Copa de la Reina, the LF Endesa Mini Cup will be held and all the teams in the youth category of the clubs that make up the LF Endesa 2022-2023 will be able to participate. Precisely, the inauguration of this Children’s Cup took place in Zaragoza, so that the tournament returns to its origins six years later.
