In preparation for the World Cup, Austria’s national men’s ice hockey team will welcome the six-time world champion Czech Republic on April 8th in Linz. Tickets are now available.
It is still unclear whether Austria’s national men’s ice hockey team will play for promotion at the WM Division IA, as originally planned, or at the A WM in Finland. Either way, the preparation plan for the first few weeks is in place and the first team camp in Linz will start with a smash against the six-time world champion Czech Republic. Tickets for the April 8 game are available now HERE.
They were last on the ice against the Czech Republic in April 2021 and had to admit defeat twice in the Euro Hockey Challenge – 0: 5, 2: 7. At the 2019 World Cup, you had to bow to our neighbors 0:8. The Czech Republic was only eliminated by Canada in the semifinals and lost the bronze medal match against Russia by a mere 2:3.
Testing against a nation like the Czech Republic in the run-up to a World Cup is always a privilege, as head coach Roger Bader underscores: “An absolute top nation.”
A real ice hockey festival awaits local and especially Upper Austrian ice hockey fans. Tickets for this hit are now over Ö-Ticket available.
