According to the information provided by LNKC, sales are going smoothly, almost half of the available tickets were bought in the first hour. Tickets for the sacred music concert in Riga Cathedral, conductor choir concert “Conductor”, vocal symphonic music concert “Šūpulis”, folk music concert “Trejdeviņi spēlmanīši”, wooden music concert “Laika upe”, folk costume shows “Mēnesnākī”, night of wooden music are sold out. concert “Night Song”.

“So far, everything is going technically flawlessly, the virtual queue worked well. True, thanks to high system capacities, a long wait in the queue was not necessary, only a few minutes, but the active buying phase is still taking place. We definitely see that the tactics we have chosen are correct, we we will continue to implement it – the number of users is large, but we cope with it perfectly. Of course, we expect that the demand will be much, much higher in the coming trading days,” Jānis Ķuzulis, chairman of the board of “Biļešu paradīzes”, commented on the trading process to Latvian Radio.

Tickets for this year’s Song and Dance Festival events are starting to go on sale gradually.

From May 15 tickets can be purchased online for 15 events: sacred music concert, conductor’s choir concert “Conductor”, seats in the tribune during the holiday procession, opening concert of the holiday, vocal ensembles’ contemporary music concert “Skaņu portreti”, vocal ensembles’ spiritual music concert “God. Nature. Man” “, children’s and youth vocal ensembles’ concert “I want to tell you something”, brass band concert “Laiks iet pāri” and brass band’s Latvian music concert “Partitūra svetkiem”, wooden music concert “Laika upe” and night concerts – “Gaismas garden” and “Night song”, minority group concert “Songs of the Sun on canvas”, vocal symphonic music concert “Shūpulis”, folk costumes show “Mēnesnāki” and folk music concert “Trejdeviņi spēlmanīši”.

From May 17 tickets for dance concerts will be available to buyers in online sales: the big concert “Balts” in Arena Riga and the big performance “Eternal Engine” in Daugava Stadium.

From May 19 tickets for the choir’s big concert “Tīrums” and its dress rehearsal, the final concert “Kopā upsup” and its dress rehearsal, as well as the sing-along night will be available for sale on the Internet (the holders of tickets for the final concert do not need to buy separate tickets).

From May 22 it will be possible to buy tickets at the box office as well, and it will also be possible to redeem tickets in a previous reservation.

From June 12 will be able to redeem the tickets applied for in the previous reservation, which will not be redeemed.

The XXVII General Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival will be held in Riga from June 30 to July 9, 2023, its main highlight will be the 150th anniversary of the Song Festival tradition. The festival is organized by the Latvian National Culture Center, which is a state institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture.
