Welcome to the World ⁤Today News interview segment! Today, ‌we have two guests‌ joining us to discuss a recent class action lawsuit filed against Ticketmaster and Live Nation for alleged concert ticket pricing speculation and ⁣collusion. Our first guest is Kenny from Los Angeles, a⁤ music fan who has tried to purchase concert tickets for ⁤both Taylor ⁤Swift and Beyoncé unsuccessfully. Our second guest is Mark, an⁣ entertainment lawyer representing the plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

Kenny, can you start by sharing your ‌experience trying to purchase concert tickets for Taylor Swift and Beyoncé? How often do‍ you⁢ find yourself having to spend significant amounts of ‍money on concert tickets due to these alleged pricing practices?

Kenny: Sure,⁤ I’ve⁤ been ⁣trying to buy tickets for both Taylor Swift and‌ Beyoncé‌ concerts, and it’s been a real challenge. The prices seem to ‌go up suddenly, and often times I find myself spending more than I⁣ can afford. I’ve missed out on ⁣seeing⁤ my favorite artists because ‌of this. It’s frustrating because I feel like I’m being taken advantage⁤ of just for being a fan.

Mark, can you explain the accusations made against Ticketmaster and Live Nation? How do these companies allegedly ⁢collude⁢ with⁤ venues to drive ‍up ticket ⁣prices?

Mark: ‍Absolutely. The lawsuit alleges that Ticketmaster ⁢and Live ‍Nation have colluded with venues to increase ticket prices for‍ shows. They’ve been accused of breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and antitrust violations. The claim is that‍ Ticketmaster controls a large portion of the ticketing market, allowing them ‍to manipulate prices and limit competition. This leads to inflated ticket prices and ‌unfair treatment for fans like Kenny.

Kenny, have ‌you been following the ⁤news about ‍the lawsuit?‌ Do you think it has any ‍chance of success?

Kenny: I have, and I hope it does. I ⁣think the allegations ⁤are pretty serious, ⁣and⁢ fans deserve better. It’s hard to believe that Ticketmaster and Live Nation wouldn’t be trying to manipulate prices given their control over the market.

Mark, your law firm ⁢has already alleged similar conduct from ⁤Ticketmaster and Live Nation in a‌ previous lawsuit. How does this new case ⁢differ?
