American fans file class action lawsuit against Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation for allegedly speculating on concert ticket prices in this country. The fans of Taylor Swift and of Beyoncéartists who have had several massive events in the country in the last year.
The lawsuit alleges that both companies have colluded with entertainment venues to increase ticket prices for shows. The allegation was presented through the law firm Kinder Law last Friday in California Superior Court. The accusations against Ticketmaster y Live Nation include ibreach of contract, fraud, negligence, negligent misrepresentation and antitrust violations.

Mark: Absolutely. The lawsuit alleges that Ticketmaster and Live Nation have colluded with venues to increase ticket prices for shows. They’ve been accused of breach of contract, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and antitrust violations. The claim is that Ticketmaster controls a large portion of the ticketing market, allowing them to manipulate prices and limit competition. This leads to inflated ticket prices and unfair treatment for fans like Kenny.
Kenny, have you been following the news about the lawsuit? Do you think it has any chance of success?
Kenny: I have, and I hope it does. I think the allegations are pretty serious, and fans deserve better. It’s hard to believe that Ticketmaster and Live Nation wouldn’t be trying to manipulate prices given their control over the market.
