How much is a unique live experience worth, especially since it is a highly emotional farewell to a phenomenal sports icon? This is the question that all tennis enthusiasts who do not want to live without a ticket for the “Farewell Event” of the great Rafael Nadal have to ask themselves. At this year’s Davis Cup Finals at the end of November in Malaga (Spain), the “Bull of Manacor” will step onto a tennis court for the last time as an active professional.
The only thing that is certain in the knockout phase of the team competition is participation in the quarter-finals on Tuesday, November 19th. Whether there will be an appearance by the 22-time Grand Slam champion on Friday, November 22nd (semi-finals) or Sunday, November 24th clearly depends on the performance of the Spanish team – in any case, it will be at the start against the Netherlands team.
Almost 35,000 euros for a few hours of tennis
Normal access to a ticket for the quarter-final Tuesday is denied to the average mortal who has not yet purchased a ticket, as the entire event on that day was already sold out in a very short time. The only hope left is the black market, which can now be found on resale platforms such as “Viagogo”.
We strongly warn against engaging in these often illegal transactions, as there is often clear fraud behind the questionable offers. There are several ticket offers in the five-figure euro range on the platform mentioned. The absurd “high score” is just under 35,000 euros for a single ticket. With all my love, that’s a few levels too high even for us tennis nerds…
