vote after the match (source: hockeyslovakia.sk):
Tibor Tartaľ, head coach SR 18: “The result is not positive as well as the fact that we didn’t score a goal. Despite the big loss, I have to emphasize that for forty minutes we did well in various details and small aspects of the game. It was the hockey we want to present ourselves with. Unfortunately, we were not effective in the moments, when the match was breaking.
We conceded twice at the beginning of the third period, specifically the first and second, which made it difficult for us to win the duel on our side. After the second period, we replaced Urban in goal with Slávik. We want to have both goalkeepers ready for the main tournament.
It will also be key to fine-tune the game in numerical superiority. Power plays can also be decisive in the opening match against the Swedes. We expect an even more challenging match. We have to be as concentrated as possible and take advantage of all the opportunities and chances we get.”
