Defending champion THW Kiel is not yet defeated in the championship race of the HBL and keeps up the pressure on front runner SG Flensburg-Handewitt. The record champion rehabilitated himself after the setbacks of the past few days with a safe 35:30 (17:13) at TSV GWD Minden and moved up to one point on the leading northern rivals.
Kiel, which also missed the cup final about a week ago after losing the Champions League and a few days later after 13 wins in a row by a 33:34 at SC Magdeburg also lost the Bundesliga top, delivered the expected in Minden Defiant reaction. The team of coach Filip Jicha was practically in the lead and never let the mandatory victory burn.
