It was a memorable operation, but it will probably have no more consequences: the truck driver, whose vehicle appeared to be dripping with blood, is not criminally responsible.
Türkenfeld – A resident of the street “Am Härtl” noticed last Saturday evening that red liquid was dripping from a parked truck. He informed the police. It could not be ruled out that the liquid could be blood. There was no trace of the driver of the truck, as the police reported at the time. The fire brigade opened the truck, which was full of garbage. The THW was called in. Task: Emptying the truck.

The effort involved in the operation, which lasted a total of nine hours, was immense. The THW volunteers responded with four vehicles, as reported by the relief organization itself. On site, they set up lighting and unloaded the vehicle under the watchful eyes of the police. The rough work was done with the loading crane of a tipper truck, deeper layers were removed by hand so as not to destroy any evidence, reports the THW. The bulky waste from the truck was temporarily stored on the loading area of a THW vehicle. When it became clear that the liquid looked like blood, but wasn’t, the bulky waste was put back in the truck.
No further investigation
As a police spokesman said when asked, the incident will have no consequences for the truck driver. Because he was not criminally accused of anything. The garbage probably came from an apartment liquidation – the police did not investigate further. The costs will probably be charged internally by the THW, as a spokesman for the aid organization said. If there are no criminal consequences, there is no other option.
