Thuringian budget for 2021 on the home stretch

Thuringia’s red-red-green minority government has agreed on a budget for 2021 with the CDU. The jointly established budget is the prerequisite for the planned new elections. The state budget was negotiated for weeks. Last 19 hours until early Tuesday morning. The parliamentary leader of the Left, Susanne Hennig-Wellsow, spoke of a good negotiation result. It is a household with red-red-green handwriting, but also with black speckles.

According to the CDU parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt, his party has turned the state budget towards the future. Around half a billion euros was therefore moved. The main focus of the Christian Democrats was to “strengthen home and citizens”, to implement a school initiative and to anchor an economic program for medium-sized businesses and crafts in the household.
