Thunderstorms hit 7 governorates…and urgent action from local development – Masrawy – Masrawy

Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, directed the continuous raising of the level of preparations of the governorates exposed to rain and weather fluctuations to ensure readiness and the ability to face any emergency conditions, assigning the executive agencies to be present in the field in the streets for rapid intervention in the event of any emergency events.

The report of the Operations Room of the Ministry of Local Development regarding monitoring the weather indicated that some cities in Qalyubia governorate were exposed to rains of varying intensity.

Thunderstorms of varying intensity also fell on the cities of Abu Sweir, Qantara West, and Al-Mustaqbal in Ismailia Governorate, and moderate to heavy rains fell on some cities in the Menoufia and Sharkia governorates.

Light rain also fell on the cities of Al-Mataria and Al-Manzala in Dakahlia Governorate, some cities in Damietta Governorate, the cities of Barani, Al-Salloum, and the western center and city of Marsa Matrouh.

He also directed the Minister of Local Development to raise the state of readiness in all operating rooms in the ministry and the governorates exposed to rain, and to coordinate with the central operations room in the Information and Decision Support Center in the Council of Ministers to follow up the situation continuously and take the necessary measures.
