Meal delivery company Thuisbezorgd.nl expects traffic to peak again on New Year’s Day, partly because January 1, 2023 falls on a Sunday. The company is therefore rolling out extra delivery drivers.
Headquarters staff will assist in Amsterdam and Rotterdam to process all orders, the company announced on Friday. Customer service and IT departments will also have extra capacity to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Three times more orders than usual were delivered on 1 January this year. The most popular dishes were kapsalon döner, margherita pizza and salami pizza. Thirteen thousand restaurants in the Netherlands are affiliated with Thuisbezorgd.nl. The company is part of Jitse Groen’s Just Eat Takeaway which is active worldwide.
