Rain or not, 1,700 ‘Home’ fans had a great day yesterday. Viewers flocked to the Herkenrode abbey site to celebrate the wedding of Tamara and Bob with the actors. They got tonight’s episode – with a plot twist – right on top of it.

Homecharacters Tamara and Bob, played by Tine Priem and Christophe Haddad, gave each other their yes in Friday’s episode. On Sunday they promised each other eternal loyalty again, and that in front of a live audience. In the presence of fellow actors Yemi Oduwale, Katrien De Ruysscher, Nawfel Bardad-Daidj and Bram Spooren, they turned it into a popular festival. Mathias ‘Lowieke’ Vergels also performed with his band The Good Example.
“A unique day”, Christophe Haddad called it. “Because we were able to give something back to our viewers this afternoon. We come from a period when we haven’t been able to see each other for so long. Without our fans exists Home not.”

beautiful bride
Two of those enthusiastic viewers are Eva and Line from Hemiksem. “We come from far, but didn’t want to miss this for the world,” says Eva. “Tamara is a beautiful bride, I hope I can get married like that in the future.” Friend Line nods. “Bob has only just been very sick in the series: lymphoma. The couple is there for each other day and night. After each setback, they pull each other back up. We know it’s fiction, yet they’re a realistic example of what love should be like.”

After the turtledoves renewed their vows in front of the whooping crowd, those in attendance joined in the opening dance. Together with the actors, they already watched Monday night’s episode. Often dumbfounded, because of the plot twists at the wedding party.
Kick
“It was very exciting”, reveals super fan Hanne from Maaseik. “We can already tell that we had a lot of laughs with the character Christine. Personally, Tamara is my favorite. I think Tine Priem is a beautiful woman. I would also like to get married myself. Will my dress look like Tamara’s? She looked dazzling, but give me the dress Nancy married a few years ago: short, with a nice back and neckline.”
“Watching it with our fans gives me such a thrill,” said actor Nawfel Bardad-Daidj. “We know what’s coming. But the reaction of all those people, that’s what we do it for.”
