Sid Wolf (43), former adviser to New York’s scandalized governor, Andrew Cuomo, died in a tragic highway incident in the United States on Sunday.

Wolf and five friends are said to have ordered a taxi from the company Lyft in the state of Delaware on the US east coast on the night of Sunday.

According to the police, an argument must have arisen between the driver and the passengers on the motorway. The driver then allegedly stopped in the middle of the left lane on the motorway and ordered all the passengers out of the car.

At that moment, another car is said to have come from behind. The car coming from behind had to quickly swerve into the right lane to avoid hitting the taxi that had stopped.

According to one police statement shall the man who came from behind not have seen the passenger who had just been thrown out of the passenger seat on the right and was now standing in the roadway.

– The left side of the front of this car hit the pedestrian. The accident car stopped immediately, while the taxi driver is said to have fled the scene immediately.

The five other passengers escaped the incident unharmed.

The taxi driver has not yet been arrested or identified.

Sidney Wolf previously worked as a senior advisor to Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York.

Wolf is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
