The Ministry of Education and Sports (SEyD) announced that during the 2021-2022 school year, medical care was provided to 2,819 girls, boys and young people in Basic Education in the State of Chihuahua, through the State Insurance Program School.
Students who suffered some type of accident within the school buildings, or during the journey between school and their home, or when they were present at events organized by the educational authority, were treated in some of the hospitals with which they were treated. has an agreement in place.
The state agency reported that most of the care provided was for traumatic brain injury and falls, and indicated that the service offered is medical care in the event of an accident, hospitalization, and medications for up to 15,000 pesos per event.
The State School Insurance Program has coverage for all students enrolled in public schools at the Preschool, Primary and Secondary levels of all the municipalities of the entity.
