Quebec forward Pierre-Luc Dubois made his first skates in the uniform of the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, participating in a first training session with his new team.
The Jets had acquired the services of Dubois from the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 23, but the forward obviously had to undergo a quarantine before he could rub shoulders with his teammates. The Jets will play their next game on Tuesday night against the Flames in Calgary.

Dubois had scored 1 goal in 5 games with the Blue Jackets before being traded for forwards Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic. The Jets also gave up a 3rd round pick in 2022.
A long absence for Kase?
Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy said forward Ondrej Kase has not skated since he injured his upper body on Jan. 30.
Cassidy obviously hasn’t been able to specify when Kase will return to the game.
The Czech forward who got from the Anaheim Ducks in February 2020 has only appeared in 2 games since the start of the season. He did not collect a point.
Matheson ready to return to the game
The Pittsburgh Penguins have removed the name of Quebec defenseman Michael Matheson from the injured list.
Matheson has been back in training for a few days already and is expected to be back in training tonight as the Penguins take on the New York Islanders.
Matheson, who had an upper body injury, played his last game on January 15. He has a plus-1 differential in 2 games so far this season.
