Thiruvananthapuram – The crisis related to Thrissur Pooram was resolved when Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan suggested that the Thrissur Pooram should be conducted as per the existing agreement. The decision of the government is that there is no need to increase the ground rent of the exhibition city and the rent of the Pooram exhibition city is 42 lakhs. This is how the crisis was resolved. The decision was taken in a meeting called by the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said in the meeting that other matters can be discussed and decided after Pooram. Paramekkav and Thiruvampadi Devaswom representatives welcomed the Chief Minister’s proposal.
As per the existing agreement between the Cochin Devaswom Board and the Paramekkau and Thiruvambadi Devaswoms, the Pooram should be conducted gracefully this time. There shouldn’t be any controversy in this,” said the Chief Minister in the meeting.

Representatives of Rajamanikyam, Thiruvampadi, Paramekkav, Cochin Devaswom and others participated in the meeting.
