Users reported that three young people were swept away by a current on El Espino beach, Usulután, which resulted in one of them being missing.
According to reports, the young people from Sensutepeque, Cabañas, had arrived on an excursion to the beach to walk with other friends, when the current swept them away.
The sector’s lifeguards responded to the emergency, reporting that two of them were rescued alive, while the other could no longer be located.
In the rescue, they saved Milton Lainez, 26 years old, and Ronal Segovia, 22 years old. While the missing young man was identified as Aníbal Velasco Mejía, 22 years old.
