Three young children and a woman seriously injured in Chaam accident

Three children and the driver of a car were seriously injured in an accident on the Oude Bredasebaan in Chaam on Saturday afternoon. The car left the road for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree.

Several ambulances and the fire brigade came to the scene of the accident. Two air ambulances were also called in. One of the injured was taken to hospital by air ambulance. According to a police spokesperson, three were seriously injured and it looks ‘serious’.

It is not clear what caused the car to leave the road. The accident happened around 5 a.m. Police traffic specialists are investigating the cause of the accident.
