The opening half of Carcassonne, Romuald Séguy, former USAP, signed two seasons at the age of 25 with Colomiers. A big loss for Carcassonne, a nice blow for Colomiers.
How did you arrive in Colomiers?
The negotiations were swift. Colomiers called me to tell me that they wanted me. I did not hesitate. Even if the club is now in Pro D2, it is still a monument of French rugby. In recent years, it is a club often present in the final stages. Obviously, it’s attractive. I had a good discussion with the coach, he really wants to play rugby. Of course, like almost all players I think, I adhere to this philosophy.
Did you go around the question in Carcassonne?
No not necessarily. I’m coming off a good season which is not extraordinary either, but at least I had the chance to show myself and play in the second half of the season. I thank Carcassonne. Simply, the Colomiers challenge is very beautiful to take up.
« One thing is certain: we have a great team »
Exactly, what are the objectives at Colomiers this season?
The club would like to reach the Top 14 in the next three years but, for now, there is no set target for the season, or not publicly at least. We’ll see after a few matches. One thing is certain, we have a great team.
Personally, are you going to settle here permanently?
It is always difficult to answer this question because everything goes very quickly in high level sport. It depends largely on me, but also on the club, the coach. In any case, yes, I intend to win this season and play as many matches as possible.
