Florent Pagny has been teasing his return for several days after choosing to go into exile in Patagonia to lead his long and painful fight against cancer. The singer is working in the greatest secrecy on a book project with his daughter Aël.
Florent Pagny seems to be doing better. Almost three years after he was diagnosed with lung cancer, the singer, now 62, announced that he had stopped medical treatments after realizing that they had not allowed him to fully recover. He has indeed suffered three relapses, which he discusses in the podcast Addiction aired on Tuesday, September 24. “Health is good”he points out, a year after releasing the duets album 2 Bis recorded with several artist friends including Carla Bruni, Patrick Bruel, Vianney and Pascal Obispo who continued to take and give news of him throughout his long convalescence. “Health is good… But with a perspective of three months for two years”he adds, before detailing how he plans to continue fighting the disease.

For our colleagues, the interpreter of Chanter explains that when we are “affected by this disease called ‘the crab’, even if for a while the treatments do their job well, it has a tendency to come back”. In the process, he specifies that there is no “no more treatment”including immunotherapy, because he had “realized one day that it wasn’t working”. If he remains cautious for fear of a new relapse, although his latest results are good, Florent Pagny is now “accompanied with the chinese medicine“. “It’s the one that gives me the most satisfaction for everything that can be involved and because of the treatments”concludes the artist.

This interview appears just a few days after Florent Pagny announced his return to the famous red coach’s chair in The Voiceafter being absent for two seasons to focus on his health. The first channel has also announced this highly anticipated return for season 13, the filming of which should begin in the coming weeks, in the company of Vianney, who has been reappointed, and two new female and unexpected recruits: Patricia Kaas et Zaz.
