Three women have been stabbed and killed, probably with a knife, in a brothel in Vienna. A 27-year-old man has been arrested, the police in the Austrian capital say.

The women were found dead in a brothel in the district of Brigittenau, which is among Vienna’s poorest areas, on Friday evening. The 27-year-old man was arrested nearby shortly after.
The women were probably attacked with a knife, says police spokesman Philipp Hasslinger.
– The investigation is ongoing, so I have no further information at the moment, he says.
According to the Austrian news site oe.at, the police were alerted when a witness discovered traces of blood from the brothel onto the pavement.
They also write that this is the third time the city has been rocked by murder this week. On Friday morning, a mother and her daughter were found dead, and later in the day another body was found by a man.
