Three wins against Wolfsburg: Munich reaches the DEL final

Munich – EHC Red Bull Munich is in the playoff final of the German Ice Hockey League. With the 2:0 (2:0, 0:0, 0:0) against the Grizzlies Wolfsburg, coach Don Jackson’s team clearly won the best-of-five series 3:0.

The first of five possible final games against the winner of the Eisbären Berlin game against Adler Mannheim will take place on April 30 for the three-time champion.

With a double strike within 14 seconds, the hosts led 2-0 after six minutes in front of 5,371 spectators through goals from international Yasin Ehliz and Austin Ortega. Wolfsburg then tried to get back into the game, but failed in a total of 39 shot attempts by Munich’s outstanding goalkeeper Henrik Haukeland. In the final minutes, the guests missed the goal several times with two more players on the ice.
