Three teens killed in ambulance collision

Three minor boys died in a head-on collision between a passenger car and an ambulance in Helmond, Brabant, in the night from Saturday to Sunday. They drove in the car. A fourth passenger, also a teenager, was seriously injured. Two paramedics were also injured. That’s what the police stated.

The accident occurred at 0.15 a.m. on Heeklaan in Helmond, due to an unknown cause. The fatal victims are two boys aged 15 and 16 from Eindhoven and a 16-year-old boy from Nuenen. The latter was driving the car, according to police. The fourth occupant is a 15-year-old boy from Eindhoven. He has been transferred to a hospital.

The injuries of the paramedics appear to be minor, police said. They have been admitted to hospital for observation. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and have seized and towed both vehicles. A bottle of nitrous oxide was found at the scene of the accident, reports Broadcasting Brabant.
