The police arrested three suspects in Zoeterwoude on Friday evening for assault and a possible kidnapping. A warning shot was fired. Two people were injured in the incident in the South Holland town.
The suspects were in a car and fled from the police. In doing so, they hit a passing cyclist who was injured.
The other victim was injured as a result of the assault and the possible kidnapping. Both injured people have been taken to hospital.
The incident happened on the Geerweg, on the border of Zoetermeer and Zoeterwoude. The police are still investigating exactly what happened. A spokesman could not provide more information Friday evening.
