(CNN Spanish) – The bodies of four people were found early Monday morning in an area near Huejotzingo airport, in the Mexican state of Puebla, the Ministry of Public Security, Traffic and Protection reported.
The Secretary of the Interior of the State of Puebla, David Mendez Márquez, informed that the families of the victims have already been informed of the finding of the lifeless bodies.
Among the deceased, the authorities reported that the Uber driver, Jose Manuel N, 28, originally from Puebla, was identified; two students of Colombian origin, Ximena Quijano Hernández, 25, and José Antonio Parada Cerpa, 22, who were in exchange at the medical faculty of the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP), and a third student identified as Francisco Javier Tirado Márquez, 22, originally from Veracruz, student of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP).
The State Prosecutor General’s Office succeeded in arresting three suspects related to the murder of the four people who were found in the vicinity of the Hermanos Serdán International Airport, the office manager Gilberto Higuera Bernal reported.
The prosecution is investigating in the area where the suspects were captured. Similarly, the Secretary of the Interior of the State of Puebla said they will proceed to establish contact with the government of Colombia to facilitate the repatriation process of the bodies of Colombian students.
