Three SMEs can breathe a sigh of relief: The Neumatte is zoned – Wyna / Suhre – Aargau

What a vote of confidence: The Hirschthal community assembly – 75 of the 1164 voters were present – said yes to all transactions, unanimously and without discussion. This brings the expansion needs of Pfiffner Messwandler AG, Jungheinrich AG and A. Meier Gartenbau a good step closer to realization. “In April, May 2021, if no referenda and appeals are taken, the government council should approve the new land use planning,” said Markus Goldenberger, who is responsible for spatial planning in the local council. And this land use plan includes the rezoning of 2.48 hectares from the agricultural to the commercial zone.

This massive expansion of the industrial zone west of the Suhre up to Suhrentalstrasse could not be achieved without compensatory zoning. The largest part is contributed by two landowners – without compensation. “We are very thankful; other communities raise millions in order to be able to zone back, ”said mayor Peter Stadler. In September the Grand Council approved the rezoning with 127 votes to 26. Pro Natura and the Foundation for Landscape Protection Switzerland announced resistance, but no objections were raised to the requirement of land use planning.

The three companies have specific projects; but if nothing is in place within eight years, the country falls back into the agricultural zone. There was no resistance to rezoning from the agricultural zone to a special agricultural zone (greenhouses, plant cultures). The assembly also said yes to the new building and use regulations, the part of the land use plan that contains specific provisions for building. In the sense of the national spatial planning law, the focus is on compact construction. That means: The utilization rates are increased. The underuse of existing building land is to be prevented with a minimal utilization rate.

The new building fee regulations were approved, as were the new statutes of the Schöftland waste water association. The innovation there: Whoever feeds clean water into the WWTP has to pay more.

Two loans were also undisputed: CHF 300,000 for renovation work in the parish hall, which eased the tight space in the administration, and CHF 312,000 for expanding the Rebhalde water network. The point is to turn a still pipe with standing water, which can affect the quality of the drinking water, into a ring main.

The only community in the valley that pays financial compensation

Finally, the assembly approved the 2021 budget with an unchanged tax rate of 105 percent. “We are the only municipality between Seetal and Wiggertal to pay financial compensation to the canton, over 200,000 francs,” said Peter Stadler, who announced at the end of the meeting that after 28 years on the municipal council, 24 of them as Ammann, would no longer stand in 2021.
