Microsoft is almost certain to release a replacement for Windows 10 soon. The exact name of this new operating system is not yet known, but various indications indicate that Microsoft will name it Windows 11.
Microsoft itself will hold a virtual event on Thursday (24/6), which is believed to be an event to announce its presence Windows 11.
Presence Windows 11 This is actually contrary to Microsoft’s statement when it released Windows 10 in 2015. At that time, Microsoft said Windows 10 was the last operating system to be released. After that, Windows 10 will continue to be updated without renaming it.
However, that statement doesn’t seem to hold true anymore. Here are three signs Windows 11 will be coming soon.
1. The number 11 that “pierces” the window
In early June, Microsoft through its official Twitter account announced that it would hold an event on June 24, 2021. In the tweet, Microsoft displayed a video of the Windows logo and a light that penetrated the logo. Interestingly, the video shows the rays forming the number 11.

2. Event timing
The selection of hours for the June 24, 2021 event is also somewhat “weird”. Microsoft chose a time of 11 p.m. ET (Eastern Time, the time zone in Microsoft’s Seattle headquarters), instead of the usual after lunch.
Please note, the ET time zone is three hours ahead of PST (Pacific Time, which is used on the west coast like California). So the event took place while the city on the west coast of the US was still at 8 am.
So, it’s a bit surprising why Microsoft chose such a time of the morning, except because it wanted to match the event’s clock with the Windows 11 naming.
3. Windows 10 support will end in 2025
On the official page, Microsoft regularly announces support deadlines for certain versions of Windows 10. This announcement is intended to prepare users to immediately update to the latest version.
But now, Microsoft has listed the end of support for Windows 10 Home and Pro versions on October 14, 2025. So not just certain versions of Windows, but all Windows 10 Home and Pro. This clearly indicates that Microsoft will soon shift its resources to the new operating system.
If calculated, in 2025 Windows 10 will be 10 years old. This period is relatively the same as previous versions of Windows. So, it’s time for Windows 10 to retire.
