Things are playing hard on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est when three shootings occurred a few hours apart, Tuesday, on this important artery in the north of the island of Montreal.
It was still too early, Tuesday evening, to know if the events are connected.

“Investigators are checking this lead. We are not closing the door to this possibility, ”said agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Shortly before dinner time, an individual armed with a sawed-off 12 caliber rifle opened fire on a 28-year-old client, inside Studio Inkut, located on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est, in the district of Anjou.

It was once on the second floor of the commercial building, where the tattoo and hairdressing workshop is located, that the suspect shot one of the people present, hitting him in the leg.
The shooter then abandoned his weapon at the scene before fleeing.

The victim lost a lot of blood, but his life would be out of danger according to Agent Brabant.
No one else was injured in this first event.
At around 7 p.m., two men were injured when a gunman fired through the window of the Golden Cutz store in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.

This second attempted murder occurred about 10 kilometers from the first.
Other hairdressing salon
According to initial information, the suspect went to the barber shop on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est, near Avenue Curotte, where he opened fire in the direction of two men who were inside.
One of the victims, a 36-year-old man, was injured by a projectile in one hand, but the injury was not life-threatening, Constable Brabant said.
A 40-year-old man was also injured, but his injury was superficial and he did not need to be taken to hospital.
Once his task had been accomplished, the suspect allegedly fled on foot south on Curotte Avenue.
At almost the same time, shots were fired on Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Est, at the corner of Avenue de l’Hotel-de-Ville. Shell casings were found on the ground, but no casualties were reported.
In the evening, the SPVM was still at work to try to clarify these three shootings.
