/ world today news/ Dr. Rumen Petkov, editor-in-chief of “Pogled Info” and leader of the pages of “The Left!” in 11-MIR Lovech, together with Rumen Petkov from ABV and lawyer Rumen Petkov donated books to the library in Lovech. In addition to donating missing literature to the hunting library, they also donated to its employees patriotic calendars related to Bulgarian history.
The representatives of “The Left!” discussed with the library staff the problems and needs of culture, science and education in the Hunting Region, as well as in Bulgaria. The library showed its pride – a special children’s reading corner, boasting that mothers from the city regularly bring their children to the library to read.
According to Dr. Rumen Petkov, leader of the “Levitsa!” list, libraries and community centers are one of the bastions of Bulgaria, especially in the countryside, where the processes of state degradation have been felt most severely over the past 33 years. As a hunter, he pointed out that one of his priorities in the National Assembly will be to fight for more funds for libraries and community centers in Bulgaria, including Lovech.
He stated that he thinks that a modernization of the libraries and community centers in Bulgaria will not be expensive for the state, but on the other hand, it is an investment in the future, especially when it comes to the country’s young people. Dr. Petkov was inspired by the example of the library in Lovech, which created a children’s reading corner and suggested that similar ones could be built throughout the country to attract children and their parents to the world of books, knowledge and the Bulgarian language more since small.
