Three rock greats in Prague. Scorpions, Dream Theater and Korn

German Scorpions will perform at the O2 arena on Thursday. The program will start at 8 pm with the Czech girl rock band The Agony, rockers from Hanover will start an hour later. At the same time, they will also promote their nineteenth album, Rock Believer (2022), in the preparation and recording of which they combined their long-term love of hard rock with the stylish sound of the present.

The mentioned collection is the first on which Mikkey Dee drums as a member of the group. He joined the team in 2016, when he replaced James Kottak. In the past, Dee was, among other things, a member of the famous British band Motörhead.

Scorpions have been on the music scene since 1965, with their most glorious times in the 1980s and 1990s. At that time, their biggest hit, the song Wind of Change, was created. It is part of the Crazy World album from 1990 and is about the political changes that the countries of Eastern Europe were going through at the time.

Also on Thursday, the American Dream Theater will play their set in the sports hall at the Exhibition Grounds. At 7.30 pm, the stage will be occupied by American musician, singer and songwriter Devin Townsend, and the stars of the evening will perform at 8.45 pm.

Dream Theater is happy to return to the Czech Republic.

The word for Dream Theater is “perfection”. Since 1985, their journey has been interwoven with an open, bold, rock-progressive and instrumentally famous approach. Their albums bring a fresh stylistic shift with each release, and this approach has earned the band prestige not only in its genre.

Korn are the pioneers of nu-metal from the first half of the 1990s. They were the ones who came up with significantly hard metal songs at the time, which had ambitions to appeal to listeners of other genres as well. By the way, it was Korn who introduced the German Rammstein to America in 1998 at their concerts The Family Values Tour and helped them succeed overseas.

Korn released their fourteenth album Requiem this year.

But the stars themselves were already there. They made a name for themselves with their debut album of the same name in 1994, released a year after their creation. The position of flag bearers of the modern metal trend was then confirmed by the second episode Life Is Peachy (1996). Their latest collection Requiem was released this year, as the fourteenth in the discography.

Friday’s program in the hall at the Exhibition Center will start at 8 pm with the wild Americans Fever333, who keep in their sound the best that was created in the rock of the 1990s. Korn will begin at 9:15 p.m.
