The attack took place around 1:30 a.m. on the night of Friday to Saturday. The three police officers who were not on duty at the time of the events were attacked by a gang of around ten people, according to police sources, thus confirming the information from BFM Toulon Var. The facts took place on Place d’Armes, in the city center.
The officers were said to have first been insulted and then beaten up. This Saturday morning, an official was still in the hospital suffering from a broken elbow, the others were able to go home, very shocked. The circumstances of this attack are still unclear. An investigation is also underway.
