According to BILD, three people were injured. Two of them were seriously injured, but their lives are not in danger. It is still unclear what gender the victims were.
The attacker with a knife was detained on the spot. According to BILD, this is a 27-year-old man of Arab origin. He was reportedly mentally unstable and called for help on the train.

The attack took place at around 9:30 am near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. The train is currently in Seubersdorf, southeast of Nuremberg. At the moment, the criminal police and forensic experts are working to collect evidence.
