– The incident is serious in the form that several people have broken into a private apartment and used violence against the residents there. So far, we do not have a full overview of the course of events and are working to obtain it.
This is what operations manager Roy Tore Meyer tells NRK. The police were notified of the incident at Gyllenvang kindergarten on Tromsøya in Tromsø just before 04.00 on Thursday night.
– Those who are exposed to the incident of violence are examined and treated by the health service. I do not have an overview of the extent of the damage yet, but they were conscious when they were taken over by the health service, Meyer says.
Perpetrators have run away
The victims must be a cohabiting couple and a visitor, according to VG. Everyone is in their mid-30s. It was one of the victims who called the police and reported the incident.
– So far we know nothing about the perpetrators. We have not been able to interrogate the victims yet, says the operations manager.
The perpetrators are said to have used weapons, but the police will not go into what type of weapon.
The police are now asking witnesses who have seen or heard something at Gyllenvang kindergarten in the period between 03.00 and 05.30 on Thursday night to get in touch.
– We have conducted a search with a patrol in the surrounding area. We will conduct further interrogations. And then there will be a technical investigation of the crime scene, says Meyer.
