Three people in Thai Binh went missing while fishing for clams

According to this person, on the afternoon of November 16, five people residing in Dong Hoang commune rode motorbikes to Con Thong area, Dong Long commune, then they walked about 2 km to Con Mo area to fish for clams.

At about 20:00 the same day, seeing the water rising, one person went ahead. About an hour later, as the water continued to rise, one person also swam to shore to return home.

Late at night, without seeing their relatives return, the remaining family of three and neighbors went looking, asked for information and found three motorbikes still parked on the beach in Dong Long commune. Unable to find relatives, the family reported to Dong Hoang commune authorities.

The three missing people were identified as Mr. Do Thanh L (64 years old, residing in Chi Trung village), Mr. Dang Van H (61 years old, residing in Tan Lac village), Mr. Dao Van T (66 years old, residing in Dong Hoang village) .

After receiving the information, the leaders of Dong Hoang Commune People’s Committee informed leaders at all levels and directed the commune police force to coordinate with Cua Lan Border Guard Station and Tra Ly Border Guard Station to organize search and rescue.

At around 6:00 p.m. on November 17, the authorities discovered Mr. Dang Van H.’s body near the clam fishing location and handed it over to the family to handle the funeral.
