Three people are missing and one died after bathing on the beach during Christmas celebrations in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: Three people who were bathing in the sea at different places in Thiruvananthapuram went missing and one died. Two people are missing in Putthantop and one in Anchuteng Mampally. Shreyas (16) and Sajid (19) are absent from Putanthop. Sajan Antony (34), originally from Mampally, has disappeared from Anchuteng. Body of a missing young man found in Tumba.

Four people who came to celebrate Christmas and bathed at the beach are said to have been involved in the accident. The sea was rough on Sunday compared to the previous days. Local residents say there was also an undercurrent.

Franco’s body was found, involved in an accident in Tumba. They searched for Sajid, Shreyas and Antony till evening but could not find them. So today’s search is over. The Coast Guard and fishermen will resume the search on Monday morning.

During the rescue operation one person was lost, but the fishermen rescued him and brought him ashore.
