Three new women report to Bart De Pauw case

Three new women have reported to lawyer Christine Mussche in the story about Bart De Pauw. That brings the counter to sixteen incriminating testimonies against him. That reports VTM News and is confirmed to our editors. Next Wednesday, on October 13, the trial against the program maker will start.

Nine women have filed civil lawsuits in the process. These are Maaike Cafmeyer, Liesa Naert, Catherine Ongenae, Ella-June Henrard, Dymphne Poppe, Jenka Van de Voorde, Helena De Craemer, Lize Feryn and Ellen Lloyd. They are all represented by lawyers Christine Mussche and An-Sofie Raes.

In addition, there were four women in the case with the legal status of ‘victim’. They told their story, but did not represent themselves as civil parties. So now there are three new, additional supporting testimonials from women who have reported to Mussche. That reports VTM News and is confirmed to our editors. According to VTM, they would have received sexually tinted text messages.

The three testimonies do not change the course of the trial. Although it will probably be quoted by Mussche and Raes during the trial. The identity of the three women is not yet known. Neither lawyer Mussche, nor the Institute for the Equality of Women and Men want to give any further information.

Bart De Pauw was referred to the criminal court for harassment and stalking with electronic means of communication. At the beginning of November 2017, the TV maker and presenter himself announced that the VRT had stopped working with him after complaints about transgressive behavior by various women with whom he had worked.
