Three more teenagers charged with French teacher involvement dead | NOW

France sued three more teenagers on Friday for involvement in the beheading of Samuel Paty, a source in the justice department told the French news agency AFP. The trio, two eighteen-year-old men and a seventeen-year-old girl, are charged with terrorist conspiracy.

According to the prosecution, the two men have been in contact with the 18-year-old man who killed the teacher on October 16. The girl is said to have been in contact with one of the two accused men. The teens are in jail awaiting the case.

With Friday’s charges, a total of ten people have now been charged with involvement in the murder, including two children for pointing out Paty to the perpetrator, the news agency writes.

Paty, 47, was beheaded by an eighteen-year-old man of Chechen descent while walking home from school. The perpetrator is said to have done this because the teacher showed cartoons of the prophet Mohammed during a lesson on freedom of speech.

The attacker was shot by the police officers. After the murder, French police made several arrests, including relatives of the perpetrator.
