Three more suspects detained in large Yammi drug case Jules Sedney harbor

The drugs intercepted



In the case in which members of the Post Control Unit working at the Jules Sedney New Port complex encountered a large batch of ‘Yammi’ on January 26, 3 more people were arrested. The Suriname Police Corps reports this today.

In this case four suspects had already been arrested and put in custody. Three workers who also work at the Nieuwe Haven complex came into the picture during the investigation and were summoned by the detectives in the last week of February.

When the three workers, RK, GC and AN, all 39 years old, reported to the Narcotics Brigade, they were immediately arrested. They were brought to trial and detained after consultation with the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service reports the police.
