Three Months, DHF in West Jakarta Reaches 366 Cases

VIVA – Number of disease occurrences dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) for the last three months in West Jakarta reached 366 cases so that efforts and awareness of all parties are needed to be able to suppress the spread, especially during this rainy season.

According to the Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Section of the West Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Arum Ambarsari, in Jakarta, Thursday, February 24, 2022, the case data has been accumulated since December 2021, January and February 2022.

He explained, from December 2021 to January 2022 there had been an increase from 122 to 198 cases, then from February to February 23 2022, there were only 46 cases or a significant decrease.

“The number of cases in January was the highest compared to the previous two years in the same month,” said Arum.

He said that in January 2020 there were only 69 cases of dengue fever and in January 2021 there were only 10 cases.

“It must be admitted that there has been an increase in cases during this rainy season,” said Arum.
