Three months after his death, Arnis Līcītis was finally laid on his lap

According to the magazine “Kas Jauns” this week, this burial was organized by Līcītis’ old colleague actor Mārtiņš Wilsons.

On the late evening of January 21, the news of grief reached the Latvian public that actor Arnis Līcītis had been called to eternity shortly after his 76th birthday. Although without awards, with the appreciation of colleagues and spectators, which made him talk about the actor’s departure not only in Latvia, but also in almost all media in wide Russia, Arnis left his life alone. Diāna Sproģe, a long-term director of Latvian Radio, who has been present in the life of the artist for the last six months, said that she had started writing a book about her, that she was no longer an actor.

However, it turns out that the laying of Līcītis’ urn in the womb took place only at the end of March. The magazine “Kas Jauns” contacted Arnis Līcītis’ ex-spouse, acting teacher Inga Aizbalts, to find out whether she had participated and is involved in organizing the farewell of her ex-husband. Inga sent a written reply: “Yes, thank God it happened! Since I was not allowed to organize Arnis’ funeral and it was done by other people, I cannot answer this question for you. For me, as a Christian, this is not acceptable and understandable … ”

As it turns out, the laying of Arnis ‘ashes in the womb was organized by actor Mārtiņš Wilsons together with Arnis’ ex-wife Dina Līcīte. “We were gathered to dig the urn. He was a pastor and a caper. For man to sleep in the peace of God, everything has happened as it should, ”said Wilson.
