New Delhi ∙ Three minors have been arrested in the case of killing a young man and trying to destroy the evidence by burning his body. The incident took place in Nizamuddin area of South East Delhi. Police said that Azad (25), a resident of Nizam Nagar, was killed.
The emergency response vehicle staff who were on duty at night informed the police about the arrest of three suspicious persons. The murder information comes out during the further investigation. According to the police, people in the area said that three people were behind the murder, which led them to suspect them. Later, a half-deformed body was found in Amir Khusro Park in South Delhi.
All three revealed that Azad was killed on December 21 at 10 pm. They said that sexual harassment of one of the accused led to the murder. The accused said that they brutally beat him to death and later burnt his body as part of destroying the evidence. Weapons used in the murder were also found. The investigation is in progress.
