Three Men Arrested at Gas Station on Suspicion of Kidnapping in Utrecht

The police have arrested three men at a gas station along the A12 in Woudenberg (Utrecht) on suspicion of kidnapping. The possible kidnapping took place in Nijmegen.

This is confirmed by a police spokesman after previous reports RTV Utrecht. The three suspects are said to have driven from Nijmegen to Boxmeer (North Brabant) in a car containing the victim. There, the police were alerted because witnesses believed that a robbery was in progress.

This ultimately turned out not to be the case. However, the agents found the victim of a possible kidnapping. The suspects had already escaped by then. They were eventually arrested at a gas station in Woudenberg in Utrecht.

The reason for the action is not yet clear, the spokesman said. “The police are now talking to the victim to find out. Whether it is actually a deprivation of liberty or not, we are not yet sure. Further investigation will show that.”
