Kolkata: Three members of a family miraculously survived the train accident in Odisha. Subroto Pal, Debashree Pal and their son of Malubasan village in Mahishadal, Bengal, miraculously survived the accident. The family was going to Chennai to see their son to a doctor. Subrato Pal said that Talanarizha survived the accident and this is reincarnation.
Yesterday we were going to Chennai from Kharagpur station. After passing Balasore station, I felt the train shake. The entire compartment was full of smoke. I could not see anyone. In the meantime, local people who reached there helped me to get out of the compartment. This is the rebirth given to me by God.’- Subrato Pal said.
Debashree Pal, who miraculously survived the accident, says: ‘We were going to Chennai to take our son to the doctor. I didn’t understand what was happening. I could only hear people shouting in panic. The compartment was so smoky that they could not see each other. We could not even find our son. I still don’t know how I escaped. This is the rebirth God has given us. Those views will never fade from my mind.’
The train accident that rocked the country took place on Friday night. 17 coaches of both trains were completely destroyed. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals. So far, 288 people have died in the accident. 1091 people are injured. 56 of them are in critical condition.
