WHATSAPP has tons of features and settings that can make messaging a breeze.
Here are three little-known tricks to try today.
Change your WhatsApp font
Just open WhatsApp on iPhone, type a chat and type a message.
Then highlight a word (or a phrase or an entire message) and hold your finger down.
A pop-up menu will appear: Now tap the BIU icon.
This allows you to change the style of your character – potentially confused friends.
Of course, this is not the only way to achieve this effect.
To make the text bold, all you need to do is put an asterisk on either side of the word or phrase you want to bold, like so: * text goes here *
Likewise, it’s also possible to italicize WhatsApp messages, which is great for emphasizing: italics.
It works the same way as the fat trick but with different symbols.
You need to put an underscore on both sides of the word or phrase you want to change, like this: _text goes here_
The strikethrough function draws a line in the text: crossed out.
It is usually used to indicate that something is wrong or should be ignored.
To get a strikethrough, place a tilde (which is the wavy line symbol) on both sides of your message, like this: ~ text goes here ~
Save important texts
The first trick is to save the messages as favorites.
Just open WhatsApp and then go to a chat.
Holding your finger on a specific message gives you the option to star it.
Then go into your settings and look for special messages.
All your favorite messages are saved there.
It’s an easy way to keep track of important messages, perhaps an address, directions, or even a smart WhatsApp trick.
Add your best chats
Another trick to learn is how to block chats.
This is an easy way to prioritize your favorite people on WhatsApp.
When you have a busy WhatsApp, loved ones can sometimes be buried under business groups and chats.
But it is actually possible to block multiple chats so that they stay on top of the main conversation feed.
Go to the chats list, then swipe right on a conversation.
You can then tap Add and that particular chat will hang at the top of the feed.
And if you change your mind later, you can always remove the tag.
