World Bobsleigh Cup for two on the Sigulda track

The women’s championship in Sigulda was previously won by the Olympic champion from Germany Mariama Jamanka, the second was the Austrian Katrīna Bairla, the third – the German Kima Kaliki.

For Latvian athletes, the competition in Sigulda has started quite successfully. In Skeleton, Andy Steel won third place, but Martins Dukurs won convincingly.

Bobsleighers will also start the World Cup season in Sigulda. With the participation of 13 crews, the first stage of the competition will take place, three of which are from Latvia. Pilot Dāvis Kaufmanis with pusher Ivo Dan Kleinbergs will go with the second number on the track, Oskars Ķibermanis and Matīs Miknis will have the seventh number, but Ralph Bērziņš and Arnis Bebrišs will have the tenth number.
