The three Ķekava floorball teams had an unsuccessful Sunday – they lost both in the finals of the ladies’ league league championship and in the decisive game of the men’s tournament quarterfinals. The floorball players of “Ķekavas Bulldogs / NND”, who have won silver medals of the Latvian Championship, can be satisfied.

In the final of the ladies’ championship, the bunch of women showed worthy resistance to the multiple Latvian champions Kocēni “Rubene” floorball players. In the first game of the series on Saturday in Kocēni, the “bulldogs” played the two goals scored in the first third – Anna Mūrniece and Anna Ankudinova reached a draw 2: 2. However, in the second period, the hosts scored three goals and played the game 5: 3 (Anda Luža scored the third goal in favor of Ķekava club).
On Sunday, the answer match in Ķekava took place in an even more intense battle. In the 17th minute Kristiāna Biezuma put the hosts in the lead, but at the beginning of the second third “Rubene” equalized the result, but at the beginning of the third third, as it turned out, he scored the winning goal – 1: 2.
In the only final game, the floorball players of “FK Ķekava” hosted the second team of Kocēni club “Rubene-1” at their home on Sunday. During the fight, the guests took the lead twice – the goal scored in the first third was played by the bunch in the second period (accurately thrown by Gundega Immere), but the second goal scored at the beginning of the third third was no longer 1: 2, and the bronze medals went to Kocēni.
The men’s super league semi-final series will take place without the participation of Pieriga clubs. A few days after the “Orange / Oxdog Ulbroka” team fiasco in the quarterfinals, “Ķekava” also withdrew from the further fight for medals. In the decisive third game against the Talsi NSS / “Krauzers” team, the Kekava team had already lost 0: 3 in the 14th minute, later the difference was reduced to two goals (1: 3, 2: 4), but the Talsi team responded with three exact programs in a row, which decided the outcome of the fight – the loss of “Ķekava” in the game 3: 8 and in the series 1: 2. Klāvs Jansons, Renāts Degins and Toms Gredzens stood out in the last match with goal goals for Kekava.
