Remy Marshall, a Brooklyn rapper who goes by the name “Fetty Luciano,” was arrested in connection with a triple shooting at a pool party at a Long Island (NY) mansion.
Marshall, 26, turned himself in at the Glen Cove Police Station on Thursday and was charged with shooting three people at the party, including a security guard, around 5 p.m. on July 10.
“After an extensive investigation, the Glen Cove Police Department was able to negotiate the surrender and arrest of Remy Marshall,” Chief William Whitton said in a statement. He added that the New York City Police (NYPD) also helped in the investigation that led to the arrest, Oxygen.com
He now faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon. According to the police, the shots erupted in “The Mansion at Glen Cove”, an elegant hotel on the so-called “Gold Coast” of New York, when the security guard tried to break up a fight between two attendees to the party.
Police described the scene as complete chaos, with between 150 and 200 people present when the shots rang out. The three victims were treated at area hospitals and reported in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived and was on the run for 11 days. until Thursday.
sources told ABC News what the venue did not have the proper permit to host an outdoor event. Glen Cove Police confirmed that an application was made, but the City Council did not authorize it.
That venue serves as an event venue in addition to being a hotel, and police say it was a party promoted with a flyer posted and shared online. The event had been advertised online as the “Great Valentine’s Day Pool Party”. Fendi celebrity birthday said the police Glen Cove, Nassau County.
The violent incident adds to the glamorous history of that mansion, built in 1910 by architect Charles Adams Platt. The 55-acre property was home to corporate attorney John Teele Pratt and Ruth Baker Pratt, who became the first woman elected to Congress from New York. It was then transformed into a hotel and conference center in 1967.
The building and its grounds were also the partial setting of two popular movies in the 1950s: “Sabrina”, starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden, and “North by Northwest”de Alfred Hitchcock, con Cary Grant.
