WAIT – Three people were injured on Monday in an accident on the Wâldwei (N31) near Warten. It is believed two cars collided and one of the vehicles ended up in the ditch.
Several police units and two ambulances rushed to the scene. Those involved were taken care of by the ambulance crew. Three people have been taken to hospital.
During the incident, the road in the direction of Drachten to Leeuwarden was closed. This created a huge traffic jam. Police diverted traffic and the left lane was reopened just before 5 p.m.
