Three injured after report of a fight in Oslo

Trysil municipality is evacuating people from 18 apartments in a new building in the city center, according to NRK, who first mentioned one press release which the municipality sent out Monday night.

In the press release, the municipality writes that tonight they have imposed a ban on the use with immediate effect of the apartment building Pernup in the center of Trysil. The ban was made on the basis of documentation, reports of concern, site inspection report from the fire service and a report from a fire expert in Firesafe AS, the municipality writes.

– The sum of all deviations that have been discovered constitutes both an imminent danger of loss of life and abnormally large material consequences if a fire occurs in the building, Midt-Hedmark fire and rescue service writes in a letter to the municipality.

People living in the apartment complex must find new places to live, preferably immediately.

– We see the practical problems that it can cause for many. But with the documentation we have, we as a municipality can not take responsibility for people living there anymore. Therefore, the ban has been introduced with immediate effect, and we hope that people get out quickly, says department head for construction and geodata department Rune Møller Poulsen.

The municipality states that the department head himself will knock on doors to make sure that the information reaches everyone. This is because the letter about the ban on use was sent out after office hours and that it is urgent to get people out of the building.

– We have also notified the housing association, which has been familiar with the reports of concern, and expect that the residents will contact each other as soon as someone opens the letter. We do not think the ban on use comes as a bomb, but for safety’s sake I visit everyone, says Poulsen.
